Fish At Home, previously known as Brighton Fish Sales, are one of Sussex’s biggest fishmongers, based in Hove. They have a focus on fresh seafood that they’ve caught with their own fleet of fishing vessels, but also have a variety of frozen/imported/pantry items.
They contacted Marketing 101 for assistance in growing their home delivery service after the COVID-19 pandemic, as their order numbers dropped off when lockdown restrictions were lifted.
The company had decided to rebrand under the name Fish At Home and needed guidance in building their brand before delivering their new service.
Marketing 101 helped Fish At Home by implementing a full brand development project, including creating a new website, new photography, recipe and blog content. They also assisted with PR efforts, which resulted in coverage in local media outlets such as The Argus and an interview on BBC Sussex.
In addition to the brand development, Marketing 101 helped Fish At Home launch new products, including a subscription service and a bi-catch box designed to reduce waste within the business. They also implemented a full digital marketing solution, including social media campaigns, pay-per-click advertising, and SEO.
Pay-per-click works particularly well for this client, drawing in conversions at just £5 per checkout with the average basket size at £58.
As a result of working with Marketing 101, Fish At Home achieved consistent growth from the launch of the new branding and marketing plan. This growth settled at approximately 5.5% month-on-month, and the company is on track to almost double the size of the business in the first year.
This is a significant achievement for the company and it was possible due to the comprehensive brand development, new product launch, and digital marketing efforts implemented by Marketing 101. The efforts of Marketing 101 helped Fish At Home to increase visibility, attract new customers and retain existing ones, and ultimately grow their sales.
