Eastbourne Coaches

Launching an immediate fresh approach to coach holidays

Overview

We met the owners of Eastbourne Coaches at a trade show in October 2025. They had a private coach business and wanted to launch their own portfolio of coach holidays in the UK and then into Europe. The challenge was they wanted to launch in January (less than three months later) with a full brochure of tours! They had yet to create a booking system or website, and only a few close friends knew of their plans.

It's the kind of challenge we love, and we admired the entrepreneurial spirit and adventurous spirit of the owners, Julian and Tracey Ledger.

Their ambition was to disrupt and modernise the traditional coach holiday experience, while delivering exceptional customer service.

Building on an established private hire business, the company introduced online booking, card payments, home pick ups, inclusive excursions and ABTOT financial protection. The aim was to create holidays that felt easier, more transparent and genuinely customer focused.

Our Approach

Marketing 101 became an extension of the Eastbourne Coaches team, developing the brand, website, social media, email marketing, PR, and digital advertising.

The marketing focused on what made the business different. Rather than relying on traditional travel advertising, campaigns highlighted the personal service, transparent pricing and thoughtful extras that customers value most.

Creative campaigns generated thousands of enquiries before the first holidays even departed, helping establish Eastbourne Coaches as a fresh alternative within a well established market.

Success Factors

A clear point of difference

The marketing focused on a better holiday experience without hidden extras such as entrance fees to attractions.

A joined up strategy

Branding, website, advertising, PR and content all worked together to support enquiries and bookings.

Putting customers first

Every campaign reflected the company's genuine commitment to care, transparency and outstanding service.

Lively and fun marketing

The campaigns included quirky adverts and light-hearted messaging. We recognised that the senior market enjoyed a sense of humour, and the fact that the business was very approachable.
